Day 1: Cape Town, South Africa

Cape Town and surrounding regions are regarded as one of the most beautiful regions in the world. The city is a rare cultural gem resulting from the amalgamation of Indonesian, French, Dutch, British and German settlers, the local Bushman and Hottentot tribes and the Bantu tribes from the north. The impressive presence of Table Mountain, flanked by the legendary Devil's Peak and historical Signal Hill, stands proudly above the city. Beautiful white sandy beaches along a peaceful coastline frame the Cape Peninsula. Cape Town boasts a multitude of entertainment, ranging from outdoor activities and adventures in the sun to a roaring night life under neon signs. The vast range of shopping opportunities includes haggling with shopholders at Greenmarket Square Flea Market, as well as breezing through sophisticated and stylish shopping malls. The huge variety of restaurants reflects the multicultured history of the Cape and caters for everyone's taste, from fast-food outlets and casual to the chic to the very elegant.

Day 2: At Sea

Day 3: Walvis Bay, Namibia

Walvis Bay is a town situated on the central west coast and is the major harbour and industrial centre of Namibia. It is widely known for its beautiful lagoon and bird watching areas. The special attraction of Walvis Bay is the huge natural lagoon with its overwhelming abundance of seabirds. 120,.000 bird were counted lately in the lagoon, innumerable flamingoes and pelicans among them. Every year they are joined by 200,000 migratory birds. Also worth seeing in Walvis Bay is the local museum in the Civic Centre, the Birdlife Information Centre and the wooden Rhenish mission church from the year 1880. "Dune 7" at the outskirts of town is the highest sanddune in the area. Once you have climbed to the top, you can enjoy stunning views. The town has to offer numerous good restaurants, cafes and bars. The Raft restaurant deserves a special mention, it is built on stilts in the lagoon and reached by a short bridge. This is a pleasant place to enjoy a meal completely surrounded by water while entertainment is provided by the birds, jelly fish and even the occasional seal. A very special experience is the adventurous 48 km drive to Sandwich Harbour, a freshwater lagoon which is surrounded by dunes, a favourite amongst anglers and ornithologists. For this drive a 4x4 is indispensable. In parts the course of the road is difficult to identify, and long stretches lead through deep soft sand. The last piece has to be done by foot. Take a magnificent off-road excursion into the dunes of the Namib Desert. You will discover the fauna and flora of this living desert.

Gran Canaria is the largest of the seven Canary Islands, which are located 150 km’s from the North African coast. Las Palmas picturesque Old Town is rich in Spanish culture, historical sites and lovely garden parks. These include archaeological sites and areas relating to the early inhabitants. The island of Gran Canaria has a long tradition of spectator sports, such as soccer, basketball and motor rallies, in addition to autochthonous sports, such as Canarian wrestling, juego del palo and lateen sailing. It is said that sport is part of the Canarian character. Day 13: Lisbon, Portugal

Lisbon is the capital city of Portugal. a lively and multicultural place. Pre World War I wooden trams clank up steep gradients, past mosaic pavements and Art Nouveau cafés, and the medieval, village-like quarter of Alfama hangs below the city's castle. Modern Lisbon has kept an easy-going pace and boasts a vibrant, cosmopolitan identity from large communities of Africans and Asians. In 1994, Lisbon was European City of Culture, while in 1998 the city hosted the last great Expo of the millennium. There are few monuments and little art in Lisbon, largely due to the 1755 earthquake. There is one building from Portugal's golden age – the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos at Belém – that is the equal of any monument in the country. More modern developments include the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian museum complex and the Tómas Taveira's amazing postmodernist shopping centre at Amoreiras. Things to See & Do * Arco Triunful de rua Augusta - old section * National Coach Museum * St. George's Castle * Jerónimos Monastery * Alfama
