Please note this tour only operates on selected set departures: 05 October 2020, 02 November 2020, 07 December 2020, 11 January 2021.  If cancelled less than 48 hours prior to departure will incur 100% cancellation fees. One suitcase and one overnight bag per person is allowed. The journey begins from Cape Town at 08h30. You will travel the scenic coastal route via Pringle Bay to Kleinmond. En-route there will be a stop at Stony Point Nature Reserve, home to a colony of African Penguins. Once in Kleinmond, you will be about to explore the harbour with its open market atmosphere featuring local arts and crafts stalls, delis and bistros. The next stop is the Dassiesfontein Farm Stall that is packed with traditional farmers fare and locally produced products of the Overberg. The final visit of the day is a wine tasting at Bouchard Finlayson Wine Estate. Overnight in Hermanus [Dinner]


After breakfast, you will travel the coastal route to Cape Agulhas, the true meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian oceans and the southernmost tip of Africa. While there, you will have the opportunity to visit an arts and crafts shop that has a lovely selection of handcrafted items, perfect for travel keepsakes. It is then a return to Hermanus via a stop in Stanford, a charming riverside village with antique stores, vineyards and quaint coffee shops. Overnight in Hermanus [Breakfast]


After breakfast, you will depart from Hermanus at 08h30. The journey drives through Swellendam, the third oldest town in South Africa. It boasts more than 50 provincial heritage sites, most of them perfect examples of Cape Dutch architecture. A visit to Tuinplaas, is an escape into the extraordinary, where the artistically inclined Coetzee family in Albertinia showcase cement creations in a beautiful garden setting. You will also be able to see the world’s largest hand knitted jersey, knitted by the ladies of Albertinia. The journey continues with a stop at the ‘Map of Africa’ in Wilderness, a viewpoint that offers a unique sight, imitating a map of Africa. The last stop will be at Timberlake Organic Village before the final leg to Knysna for your overnight stay. Overnight in Knysna [Breakfast & Dinner]


An early start at 08h30 leaves the day open to wonderful adventures. Departing from Knysna, there will be a stop at Bloukrans Bridge for adrenaline junkies to experience the world’s high bungee jump (for your own account). After the rush of the jump, it’s time to head to the Tsitsikamma National Park and Storms River Mouth. They are tucked away between mountains and ocean and you will follow the mouth trail walk along the board walk. The famed suspension bridge is the ideal spot for photographic opportunities. It’s then back to Knysna with a stop at the Eastern Head viewpoint to marvel at the beauty of this region. Overnight in Knysna [Breakfast]


After breakfast, you will depart from Knysna at 09h00. Today is about discovering one of South Africa’s top local spots, Plettenberg Bay. Renowned for seemingly endless stretches of white sandy beaches, crystal-blue water and local arts & crafts shops. Explore South Africa’s smallest wine growing region, tasting its award-winning Method Cap Classique wines and other cooler climate cultivars. You will return to Knysna in the afternoon. Mid-morning, the journey continues to Oudtshoorn. Oudtshoorn is inland from the famous Garden Route and is known as the ostrich capital of South Africa. Royalty, emperors, maharajahs and high society once adorned themselves with the world’s finest feathers. While in this town and revelling in the wide-open spaces of the Klein Karoo, you will have a wine tasting at a boutique, family-owned wine and fruit estate in the Schoemanshoek Valley. You will then learn more about ostrich farming on a guided tractor tour on a working ostrich farm. Overnight in Oudtshoorn [Breakfast & Dinner]  


After breakfast, you will depart from Oudtshoorn at 09h00. You will continue through the Klein Karoo and the famed Route 62 to the village of Barrydale. It is nestled at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains and is packed with local arts and crafts shops and the Diesel and Crème Vintage diner, famous for its milkshakes. The next stop is a visit to the Van Loveren Wine Estate in the Robertson Valley. You will enjoy a wine tasting before heading back to Cape Town via the scenic Du Toit’s Kloof Pass. You will arrive in Cape Town as approximately 17h00. [Breakfast]
