Itinerary

Day 1: Singapore, Singapore

Singapore is an island-state in Southeast Asia. Singapore City is by far the largest and most significant island alongside 63 others that make up Singapore state. Located at the mouth of the Singapore River, it is a modern, affluent city and the world's busiest port. A blend of the ancient and modern can be seen from the gleaming skyscrapers to Chinese and Hindu temples. Combining a lush tropical climate, with tasty food, good shopping and a happening, vibrant nightlife scene, this Garden City makes a great stopover or springboard into the region. Things to see and do * Singapore River * Raffles Hotel * Chinatown * Little India * Night Safari

Day 2: Cruising

Day 3: Ko Samui, Thailand

Ko Samui is an island off the east coast of the Kra Isthmus in Thailand, close to the mainland Surat Thani town. It is Thailand's third largest island, rich with natural resources, white sandy beaches, coral reefs and coconut trees. Ko Samui is all in all a fairly big island. The most popular and commercial beaches are Chaweng and Lamai, while the northern beaches and their adjacent villages of Mae Nam, Bophut, Bang Rak (Big Buddha) and Choeng Mon are more peaceful choices, and the west coast beaches are still (comparatively) quiet. Things to See & Do * Diving & snorkeling * Beaches * Water sports * Ang Thong Marine Park * Sea Shells Museum * Nah Muang Falls

Day 4: Bangkok (Laem Chabang), Thailand

Bangkok, Thailand’s capital, is a large city known for ornate shrines and vibrant street life. The boat-filled Chao Phraya River feeds its network of canals, flowing past the Rattanakosin royal district, home to opulent Grand Palace and its sacred Wat Phra Kaew Temple. Nearby is Wat Pho Temple with an enormous reclining Buddha and, on the opposite shore, Wat Arun Temple with its steep steps and Khmer-style spire.

Day 6: Cruising

Day 7: Ho Chi Minh (Phu My), Vietnam

The port of Phu My is the gateway to Ho Chi Minh City and the seaside resort of Vung Tau. From Phu My you can discover the fascinating tunnel network at Cu Chi, used by the Viet Cong during the war. At their height they stretched from the South Vietnamese capital to the Cambodian border. Vung Tau is a beach resort about an hour and a half by road from Ho Chi Minh City. From Vung Tau you can visit the Mekong Delta, Yagon and the Temples of Bagan as well as Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City (commonly known as Saigon) is the largest city in Vietnam and is located near the Mekong River delta. The city center is situated on the banks of the Saigon River, 60 km from the South China Sea. Most places of interest are located in the central District. A walk along the riverfront is an ideal way to enjoy the constant activity on the Saigon River, as small and large boats ply to and from the opposite bank. The rooftop bar of the Majestic Hotel gives the best bird's eye view of the river. The main shopping street in the city is Dong Khoi Street, which is full of gift shops, tailors, jewellers and restaurants. At one end of this street are Notre Dame Cathedral and the huge central Post Office, with its enormous portrait of the former President, Ho Chi Minh. Just off this busy shopping area on Dong Du is the Saigon Central Mosque. A cyclo ride through the busy streets to the Botanical Gardens is worth it, as is a trip to the small pagodas in Cholon. Things to see and do * Reunification Palace * War Remnants Museum * Cholon (Chinatown) * Dam Sen Water Park in District 11 and Saigon Water Park * Ben Thanh Market and Night market

Day 8: Cruising

Day 9: Hue/Da Nang (Chan May), Vietnam

Da Nang is Vietnam's third largest city, and is located on the South China Sea coast, midway between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. It is located within 100 km of several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Imperial City of Huế, the Old Town of Hội An, and the Mỹ Sơn ruins. Attractions in Da Nang include the Cham Museum which houses a collection of stone sculptures from the Hindu-practicing Cham civilization. Many relics have come from the nearby My Son sanctuary. A visit to the Marble Mountains 9km south of Da Nang is popular. There are several Buddhist temples built into caves and grottoes. Things to See & Do * Cham Museum * Marble Mountains * Am Phu cave * My Son sanctuary * Non Nuoc Beach

Day 11: Hanoi

Hanoi is the capital and second-largest city of Vietnam. The city is located on the right bank of the Red River. Hanoi is located at 1,760 km (1,090 mi) north of Ho Chi Minh City. It is a beautiful city which retains an air of French colonial elegance with pretty yellow stucco buildings lining leafy streets. Hanoi is also a city of lakes which adds to its air of sleepy grace. Attractions in Hanoi include Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and Museum, the One Pillar Pagoda , the Temple of Literature and Tran Quock Pagoda. Things to See & Do * Old Quarter * Hoan Kiem Lake * Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum * Museums eg. Ho Chi Minh Museum * One Pillar Pagoda
