Rome

Rome, the Eternal City. A city of ruins and romance, indulge all your senses in this extraordinary destination; let your taste buds linger over delicious pasta, feast your eyes on its ancient Roman architecture and kick back in a charming piazza to listen to the bustling sounds of a city completely in touch with itself...
Prepare to fall in love with the culture, romance and architecture of Rome; charming, yet majestic, the city certainly gets under your skin. Built on seven hills, Rome is divided into east and west by the Tiber River with many of its important landmarks like St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican located on the west.  Large 19th century boulevards link the city’s neighbourhoods, the largest and certainly busiest, being Via del Corso running north towards the city wall. It is from this boulevard, east and west, that you will find many of the city’s most popular attractions.
Your cruise ship will dock at the Port of Civitavecchia, about and hour and 20 minutes by local train, or an hour by fast train, to Rome’s central station (Roma Termini). The Civitavecchia train station is quite close to the entrance of the port, which is about four blocks to the train station. There is a shuttle from the point where passengers disembark and the entrance of the port.
