Skagway

Skagway

The past lives on in this quaint Gold Rush town, which was called Skagua meaning windy place before the Rush arrived on its doorstep. There’s a distinct spirit of yesteryear in this charming town that for years served as the gateway to the Yukon goldfields.
The port of Skagway today is a popular stop for cruise ships and the White Pass and Yukon Route narrow gauge railroad is now only in operation for the tourist trade, running in the summer months.
