Vienna

It’s the City of Music. Song and dance are synonymous with Vienna, the capital of Austria and arts and culture buffs will adore a quick stop here to enjoy its theatre, opera, classical music and fine arts.  More famous composers have called Vienna home than any other city and it will forever be known as the home of the classic Viennese ball and the Waltz…
Vienna has all the impressibe trappings of an imperial capital having been the former centre of the Habsburg Empire. As such, it’s city centre has been honoured as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are in fact over 27 castles, 150 palaces and 100 museums in this golden city…
Vienna’s public transport system, comprising the metro (five underground lines), 29 trams and buses (90 lines), is reliable and easy to use. You can buy a 24- or 48-hour network card, which can be used across the network. Tourist tickets can also be purchased. If you’re feeling more energetic, you can make use of the Vienna Citybike service, a public bike rental service offering some 1 200 bikes at over 90 locations throughout the city (http://www.citybikewien.at/).  You will find metered taxis in abundance and easy to hail down in the street or at a taxi stand.
