There is never a dull moment in Amsterdam. During the day, the city’s numerous museums offer an outstanding variety of exhibitions. Head to Museumplein to discover some of the city’s most iconic cultural institutes – the Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk and Van Gogh Museum. Often labelled a party city, Dublin is a great place for solo travellers to make new friends. The city is relatively small and packed with friendly locals, making it an easy place to find your feet. Spend the afternoons lingering over a newspaper or book in a quiet corner of a pub or find a seat at the bar and get into the party spirit over a pint or two.
